About this blog

I started to write this blog as a way of keeping a record of what I’ve been doing to Isosceles to get her ready for my Grand Adventure. It is also a good way of getting news to my family and friends about what I am doing and where I am going.

Any one else who stumbles by is a welcome friend.

It is great when other people join and follow along for a while, and I hope in a few cases I can inspire others to follow their dreams, whatever they may be.

There will always opportunities to join me, either for passages or for holidays, so if you’re interested then contact me. Please be patient though, depending on where I am it may take me a while to get back to you.

"Life is filled with treasures, if you are a lucky one.
Be grateful and be humble, and share them with someone."

I enjoy writing and spreading my story to those who are interested, talking about the places I visit and the people I meet. I try to avoid intrusive advertising, but there are costs involved maintaining and up dating this blog. Electronic hardware doesn't like the damp environment on a boat, and wi-fi & internet access is constantly changing as you move around.

If you ever fancy buying me a drink to support what I do you can Buy Me A Beer at www.buymeacoffee.com and I'll raise a glass to you next time I find a cosy little beach bar.

Alternatively, if you want to show your appreciation but don't want to donate to me, please consider a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition affecting more than 10,600 people in the UK alone, more than 70,000 worldwide. You are born with CF and cannot catch it later in life, but one in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Mark Allen the ships cat, always up to mischief!

This is in memory of my good friend Mark, whose determination to maximise what he could get out of life, without ever looking for a free pass or an easy ride, has been an inspiration beyond compare.
